1. Daily Discounts Return & Refund Policy

At Daily Discounts, we’re committed to providing you with peace of mind when shopping online. Our Return & Refund policy is designed to be fair, easy to understand, and compliant with the South African Consumer Protection Act (CPA 68 of 2008). Please note that all product prices on our website are inclusive of Value Added Tax (VAT).

2. Cooling-Off Period

You may cancel your purchase within 14 days of receiving your order and receive a full refund, provided the item is unused and in its original packaging.

3. Return Timeframes

If your item is:

1. Incorrect, damaged on arrival, or missing parts – notify us within 10 business days of delivery.
2. Defective – return it within 6 months of the delivery date in line with your rights under the CPA.

4. Return Packaging Guidelines

Please make sure your item is securely packaged before returning it. Wherever possible:

1. Return the item in its original packaging with all parts, manuals, and accessories.
2. Seals should be intact if applicable.

We understand that defective items may not always be returned in perfect condition. In such cases, this will not affect your right to a return under the CPA.

5. Returns for Incorrect, Damaged, or Incomplete Items

If you receive the wrong item, a damaged product, or an incomplete order, please contact us within 10 business days. All returns are inspected before approval for refund, replacement, or store credit.

You can choose from:

1. A replacement (if stock is available).
2. A full refund.
3. Store credit for the purchase amount.

We will not consider an item damaged on delivery if:

1. The damage occurred after delivery.
2. The issue was caused by power surges or misuse.
3. The product is being used outside its intended purpose.

This does not affect your right to return a defective item within 6 months under the CPA.

6. Defective Product Returns

If your product is defective within 6 months of delivery, you are entitled to choose:

1. A repair.
2. A replacement.
3. A refund.
4. Or store credit.

We will inspect the item upon return. Returns may not be accepted if the defect is due to:

1. Normal wear and tear.
2. Misuse, neglect, or lack of care.
3. Electrical surges or corrosion.
4. Unauthorised modifications.
5. Use outside the product’s intended purpose.

If your return is declined due to one of the above reasons, we will provide a written explanation or report.

7. Warranty Coverage (Extended & Manufacturer Warranties)

Extended Warranties

Some items come with extended warranties (beyond 6 months). Refer to the product description for details. If a product fails after 6 months:

1. Submit a return request.
2. The supplier may inspect the item and charge an evaluation fee.
3. If approved, the item will be repaired or replaced.

Manufacturer Warranties

Certain products fall under a manufacturer’s warranty. If so:

1. We will provide the manufacturer’s contact details.
2. You must arrange the return directly with them.
3. Repairs or replacements will be handled by the manufacturer.

8. Return Rejections & Item Retrieval

If a return is not approved:

1. The item will be sent back to you at your cost.
2. We cover return shipping for defective or incorrect items. For change-of-mind returns, the customer may be responsible for courier costs.
3. If delivery fails within 30 days, and you do not collect it, the item may be considered abandoned, and we may proceed with lawful disposal.

9. Return Methods & Collection

You may return an item by:

1. Requesting a pickup from your location (especially for large items), or
2. Dropping it off at a designated return point within 10 days of submitting your return request.
3. All returns are inspected before approval for refund, replacement, or store credit.

Large items must be collected—they cannot be dropped off.

10. Non-Returnable Items

Certain products cannot be returned unless they are incorrect, damaged, or defective, in accordance with the CPA.

Non-returnable items include:

Health & Hygiene:

1. Underwear, swimwear, earrings, body piercings.
2. Food, drinks, and perishable items.

Digital Goods:

1. e-Vouchers, downloadable content, gaming codes.
2. Unsealed software, audio, or video.

Customised Items:

1. Engraved or personalised products.
2. Made-to-order goods.

If you’re unsure whether your item qualifies for return, please contact us before initiating the process.

11. Refunds, Credits & Replacements

All returns are inspected before approval for refund, replacement, or store credit.
Once your return is approved, you may choose from:

1. A replacement product.
2. A refund via your original payment method.
3. Store credit (valid for 3 years).

Refunds typically reflect within 3–5 business days, depending on your payment provider. If your original payment method is unavailable, we’ll verify your banking details before issuing a refund.

If your purchase included a donation, that amount will be excluded from your refund or store credit.

12. Return Instructions

To start a return, email info@dailydiscounts.co.za with your order number, reason for return, and any relevant photos.

13. Compliance with the Consumer Protection Act

This return policy is fully compliant with the Consumer Protection Act, 68 of 2008. Where this policy and the CPA differ, your rights under the CPA will always take precedence.
