• Connectivity: The primary TV connection is via the included optical audio cable to your TV’s optical digital output port. It does not have an HDMI-ARC port. It also features an Ethernet port (10/100) and Wi-Fi (2.4 GHz 802.11b/g/n) for streaming. Streamlined control with the Sonos App, Apple Airplay 2 and more.
• Audio Quality: The Ray delivers balanced stereo sound with crisp dialogue and solid bass, using two tweeters and two high-efficiency midwoofers. All acoustic elements are forward-facing to minimize interference when placed in a TV stand or shelf.
• Audio Formats: It supports common home theatre audio formats including Stereo PCM, Dolby Digital 5.1, and DTS Digital Surround. Note that while it can process 5.1 content, it ultimately plays it back in stereo through its drivers unless paired with additional speakers.
• Control: The soundbar syncs with your existing TV remote via an infrared (IR) receiver for streamlined volume control. You can also use the touch controls on the soundbar or the Sonos app for full control, including EQ adjustments and special features.
• Expandability: As part of the Sonos ecosystem, you can wirelessly add other Sonos speakers (e.g., a Sonos Sub Mini for deeper bass or a pair of Era 100s as rears) to create a more immersive surround sound or multi-room listening experience.
